They came to Ephron, a large and secure town along the way. They couldn’t go around it on either side. They had to go through it.
And they came as far as Ephron: now this was a great city situate in the way, strongly fortified, and there was no means to turn from it on the right hand or on the left, but the way was through the midst of it.
They went as far as Ephron, a large, well-fortified town. It was impossible to go around it on either side, and the road passed directly through the town.
